Classic Whiskey Sour

Ingredients
- 2 oz bourbon whiskey
- 3/4 oz fresh lemon juice
- 3/4 oz simple syrup
- 1 egg white (optional, for foam)
- Angostura bitters
- Ice
- Lemon wheel and cherry for garnish
Instructions
- Add whiskey, lemon juice, simple syrup, and egg white (if using) to a shaker
- Dry shake (without ice) for 15 seconds to emulsify egg white
- Add ice and shake again for 10-15 seconds
- Strain into a rocks glass with fresh ice
- Add 2-3 dashes of bitters on foam
- Garnish with lemon wheel and cherry
Notes
- Always use fresh lemon juice, never bottled
- Egg white is optional but creates a nice foam layer
- Can use maple syrup instead of simple syrup for variation
- Adjust sweetness to taste
